Governor's Land at Two Rivers Facts: A private country club community on 1,482 acres with 734 custom built homes when completed. Governor's Land is designed to offer to residents a park-like setting with a wide range of recreational amenities including a private harbor and marina.
Governor's Land is located at the joining of the James and Chickahominy Rivers, just seven miles from Colonial Williamsburg and within one hour of Virginia Beach, Norfolk and Richmond.
The entrance is on historic John Tyler Memorial Highway (route 5).
It opened in 1990.
A monitored single-road access, a security cottage with personnel on-duty 24 hours a day and camera surveillance of entry and exit. Other security services include roving patrols, house check upon request, mail pick-up during resident vacations, package acceptance and backup key storage.
All utilities are underground.
The club house (Two Rivers Country Club) overlooks the 18th fairway, green and the James and Chickahominy rivers.
